REACH Sarasota, a mission-driven, community centered, multicultural, relationship-oriented church plant in Sarasota, Florida—is seeking an Assistant Pastor to engage in incarnational ministry to the target community; develop local Campus Ministries; organize effective small groups; lead in a diverse worship group setting; and coach members as empowered leaders—all under the auspices of a two-year Urban Ministry Educational Internship Program.
A Bachelor's degree, preferably in theology, is required, and media skills are a plus.
This internship is intended for those who are following a call into full-time ministry in the Seventh-day Adventist Church and is a unique fellowship opportunity offering experience in church planting, urban ministry, community development, personal evangelism, and campus ministry.
This Ministry Educational Fellowship gives each intern an opportunity to develop leadership skills in ministry while being mentored by an experienced Lead Pastor. This program is intended to provide the intern with experience in an urban church plant setting.
Benefits to the full-time intern include: Ministry fellowship scholarship, free housing and utilities (Electric, water, phone, cable, and internet), and the reporting of travel expenses and ministry related expenses for reimbursement, up to a maximum amount established by REACH Sarasota and the Florida Conference.
